Transitions, they take time and energy plus heart. Even the smallest of transitions. When we have given of ourselves to people in one way or another; a job, a relationship, a neighborhood, etc., we pour out love. It is risky business for sure, but I’m here to tell you it is worth it, all of it. If we don’t give and love big, we miss out on the blessings, the growth, the sharpening and shaping the Lord has for us.
Trust me when I say, I get it. I am someone who loves very big so when things change, people come and go, seasons begin and end, I grieve. It is mixed emotions. Beautiful and hard, sad and happy, joyful and stressful.
Do you know what I’m learning though? The time during a transition can be the sweetest of all if we allow God in. To be part of everything. To talk to him, to love him, to allow him to love us, to be real and raw and honest and come to him with all our thoughts and feeling and allow him to make sense of what is going on. To bring clarity, contentment and peace in his most precious timing.
There is a purpose, or should I say purposes for every experience we have. God is in them all smiling down on you waiting for you to hold your hands out and let him in to comfort and love you in the most perfect of ways only he knows you need.
God has you! Trust him. Lean in and cling to him. Let him get to know you better as you get to know him. He is faithful to take care for you always. The Lord will help you handle your transitions when you focus on him.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”
